Pegs and Jokers Newbies

Our friends, Lou and Judy, came for a visit to Camp Cascadia. They are members of Park Sierra also. We enjoyed a nice happy hour getting caught up with each other's lives, followed by dinner and dessert. Then we asked if they'd like to learn to play Pegs and Jokers. Judy immediately said "Yes!" . . . Lou hemmed and haw'd (later we found out he isn't a game player) but after a little coaxing (twisting his arm) he agreed to play. I'm pretty sure they enjoyed the game and had a good time (I know Judy liked it). They'll be back tomorrow to see how we make the boards, and share a meal. Maybe they'll want to play again!

Gary teaching a bit of strategy to Judy and Lou.

Judy is taking home a copy of the rules to study for tomorrow's game.

Life is Good!

What a cute couple they are. How fun to have folks visit you in your Oregon home along with G and C. Hope Lou ended up a happy camper if they played the next night. Hard to imagine anyone not liking Pegs and Jokers.

Sounds like a nice evening. The funny thing is we had a family staying with us Mon, Tues, and they left yesterday. We were probably teaching Rich and Concetta how to play Pegs and Jokers at the same time that you were teaching your friends. They enjoyed it. We played boys against girls and girls won!! Girls rule.. boys drool.. hee hee.

I love playning p&j, I am getting tired of the grandson beating us. We play J is 11, Q is 12 and K is 13.
We play 9's (you can move two of your men one must go forward one must go backwards. The last peg out can go 9 forward or backwards. Everything else is the same as far as rules. Oh we play if you have a move you must move. Like a joker at the beginning of the game as your only move can get you right back home fast. We only make you wait 3 turns and then you can go out if you don't get an A's or face a face card .
How do you play?
