Tonight we celebrated our friend Lori's birthday. Her husband Mike invited eight of us from the Park to join them at a great new-to-us restaurant in Fresno called Pismo's Coastal Grill. The food was fantastic, the weather was perfect for the open-air feeling of the restaurant, and there's nothing more fun than celebrating with a bunch of good friends. The restaurant is famous for their fresh wild-caught seafood. The menu offers practically everything under the sea. I chose Grilled Sturgeon, a fish I'd never tried before served with grilled artichoke. Ken chose Ultimate Combo Louie (a seafood lovers fantasy with jumbo prawns, shrimp, and Dungeness crab, hard boiled egg, and gherkin garnish, Louie Dressing on the side).
Happy Birthday Lori, we had a great time.
Life is good!

That's the best way to celebrate a birthday, with good friends! Looks like a good time was had by all. The seafood sounds delicious. Yep, those are our old friends, Mert and Jan. We enjoyed them when we were at POS. Laurie hasn't changed that much from when she and her hubbie gave that dutch oven cooking demo we liked so much. Glad you took pictures!
Yum..you made my mouth water with the descriptions of what you and Ken chose to eat. Mmmm....seafood....
What fun to have a festive dinner with friends - you all have such happy faces!
Beautiful box - you are a very talented painter!!
Oh, I'm jealous! Jack took me there for my 65th b'day and we LOVED it! Yummy food-very crowded so you know it's a good spot..Happy Birthday, Lori!
