This IS Labor Day, after all!

While the country was taking the day off, swimming their last swim in the ol' swimming hole, sharing a picnic and a nice bottle of wine with friends, or getting ready for the first day of school . . . we had our noses to the grindstone, cranking out some beautiful Pegs and Jokers games. However, when we arrive at the end of our day, and enjoyed our glass of wine up on the deck, we were pleased with our progress. Take a look!

This is what Gary looked like all day long. He is a very careful sander and his tedious work is to be admired.

K's work takes him from router to several sanders so you never know what machine you might find him with . . . but always in his shop.

Cecile spent many hours either playing with her decals, placing them "just so" or she was busy painting itsy bitsy reinforcements to be stuck on the boards in strategic places.

Here's a picture of me which I borrowed from Gary's blog. I just wanted to be included as a member of the team! These boards will be part of our "Standard Set" design, each board in a different color to match the player's pegs.

So far these are our favorites. These are almost ready for the final varnish.

Here is the first batch to be spray varnished.

Our lighthouse set—Cecile thinks this one will be a popular seller.

Up to now we have seven sets just about finished. You can see the pegs all lined up waiting for their spray varnish . . . tomorrow's another day!

Those sets are just awesome! I think Cecile is right, the lighthouse set is a beauty!

How does one go about selling them, however, to the general public that has no idea how to play? I'm sure you've come up with some good ideas.

Lots of work there, but, as our dear mother would say, Many hands make light work! Looks like a fun project with friends, especially at the day's end when you can admire the fruits of your labor. And have a glass of wine.

You and your friends have put in so much work!

Great job and I'm sure that glass of wine was a great end of your day!
