Go Dodgers!

Tonight we had a delightful time watching JD at his baseball game. He was starting pitcher for the Dodgers and pitched some mighty nice balls. I really enjoyed watching his facial expressions! The game started at 6:30 and went to nearly 9 o'clock! It got pretty darn cold too—we learned that we need to dress much warmer next time, and look into some kind of seat with a back made for bleachers! The score ended up 10 to 9, Giants—a really close game. The Dodgers played a great game and we were mighty proud of our ten-year-old grandson!

JD was full of smiles as he walks up to the pitcher's mound.

He always kept an eye on the runner on third base.

The wind-up!

Getting that ball ready to take flight!

Another "south-paw" in the family getting ready to release the ball.

A nice strike three!

YES!

And proud Mom and big sister cheered him on! Dad gently coached and encouraged the kids from the bleachers, and we all cheered the whole team. And little brother, CD, had fun running about, playing with a stray dog, and munching on snacks—hardly ever calm enough to watch the game.

It was a very fun evening at the ball park!

Life is good!

Go Dodgers! Man, wouldn't Great Grandpa B. be proud, and a Dodger too!

JD looks the total athlete! Made me teary-eyed to see those pics! Great pics too! I'd love to be there, but with a big fluffy down jacket and blankets and a cup of cocoa!

I was so happy to see this blog this morning. It was what got the boy out of bed to see what Grammy wrote and the pictures to go with it. He was dog tired and sore this morning. I'm thinking in addition to baseball he would make a good candidate for bagpipe playing with those puffed cheeks and lips... hmmm...Amazing pictures!

Go Jared, Go! Wow, I didn't know you were the pitcher!!! That's awesome! How great to have Grammie there to get the pics for you! And how great that your team is the Dodgers and your mom has the gear to wear to cheer you on! Go Dodgers!
