
I love to watch him "wind up." Notice the wad of gum pushing out his cheek . . . very important to a good pitcher.
There's more to pitching than I ever realized. Once the ball is pitched, if there is a player on third base, the pitcher has to cover the plate after he has pitched the ball, trying to keep the runner from coming into home. And if the player doesn't run in, the pitcher has to retrieve the ball from the catcher and then hurry back to the mound so that all play is ceased . . . a whole lot to remember especially for an eight-year-old!

What form, what style - he looks great on that pitcher's mound!! It looks like he's having an awful lot of fun, too. :-)
